the algos as well as the modern democracy have a similar problem, they work as a feedback loop. it’s self reinforcing populism, a control mechanism that starts controlling the mechanism itself. the algos now drive democracy, so it is a self reinforcing or accelerating feedback loop.and there we come to a problem that can’t be addressed without an ethical paradox. we believe freedom is choice/vote, but we see, that the mass doesn’t choose freely, that the average voter isn’t particularly well equipped with discernment. that the amount of disinformation is becoming almost impossible to escape from.so now what?some believe a kingdom is a solution, some might believe that technocracy is the solution, some think a probability bingo machine aka LLM would do a better job.I think Democracy can work, but not with political parties, not with strong leaders, not with identity. make democracy anonymous. we have the technology to create that.
