From a guy that rejected technology as a teenager, engaged with it through his 20s with enthusiasm, had to make a living off of it in his 30s, although with great scepticism, and now pivoted to work with his hands creating things that have no purpose other than to communicate and connect through art with others.The lack of a biological system which has sensors we still can’t fully replicate makes me believe there is no consciousness in AI.I do believe though, that this is not the crucial question. In a way our consciousness is our biggest weakness and just for a few a strength. business really is just busy-ness. that’s the original meaning.so here we are in the be-busy LinkedIn sphere, the celebration of who can be busier. so we base our future on celebrating being a better busy creature to ever get busier until we get where exactly?

we don’t become ourselves by being driven by external input. it’s all in us, if we don’t integrate our shadows, we can’t see past them. it isn’t the shadow itself that does harm, but the avoidance of gradually accepting its existence.

so, our knowledge has been hijacked by our need to attribute it to an identity or group. we give away authority of knowledge to anyone/group who/which has had a sequence of good thoughts, and was able to communicate it.we celebrate the ego/image behind the knowledge and trust it once acknowledgement of credibility is commonly accepted.so, we end up with bias that has become noise, as it isn’t recognized as bias anymore.and so we circle in an ever closer radius of ego indulged knowledge.

so, you want to build the future, but can’t even grasp yourself….. maybe grasp yourself before building anything resembling the future.

I was cycling towards a family in a mixed cycling/pedestrian zone, here in Zürich. They occupied most of the space, I approached with decreasing speed, foreseeing a possible collision through human misjudgement. The father on the left, the 4 year old boy more in the middle, but closer to the left, the mother with a bigger distance to her son on the right. The boy saw me coming, he and I knew how I will pass without endangering him, he was not scared. The mother sees me coming, doesn’t lock eyes with me long enough to understand, I’m vigilant and well aware, instead reacts in panic, jumps in to the empty space between her boy and her and pulls him into the middle in a protective gesture, my path through, the one the boy knew I was going to take. So, I had to break all the way to a stand still while smiling at the mother, thinking, thanks for this great analogy.Long story short. Really protecting your child is almost never an active form, but rather a passive one. The active form cripples, the passive one supports.

let’s unlearn the biggest scam. Democracy was just a solution to the problem that Kings and Queens were really bad debt owners and almost never paid the interests or loan back in full. to make sure that every citizen is obliged to pay the debt, democracy was propagated, creating a false sense of freedom and agency, obfuscating the real stick and make us all debtors to capital.

I’ve been pondering around this basic rule that almost never gets acknowledged. It’s counterintuitive, but that paradoxical nature actually just confirms the validity. ego beats virtue and that is not a good thing.The more someone seeks power, the less they should get it.The more someone is possessive of the truth, the less they should teach about it.The more someone wants to control, the less control they’ll actually have.and I could go on….We live in a society where ego is valued above virtue, by a factor I don’t even try to establish.we need to get that factor down, in the best case make it negative.until then, we can try and fix things, but that’s just cosmetics.

this might be controversial, but which of my posts isn’t 😁this whole noise about AI stealing creativity and IP from humans…at first I was appalled and absolutely on the side of us humans.but then, some unlearning leaps later, I realized, that the whole laws around ©®™ and whatever else that protects ones work, are actually just there to further increase the power of capitalistic winners. the law itself is mostly not even the problem, it’s the cost to enforce it. so again, you can have the law on your side, that doesn’t mean it actually is going to work for you. it works for the ones that can afford better or any lawyers. but you still argue in favour of the law, as the principle right while not understanding it achieves the opposite.so, now I’m watching with interest. will AI, and it looks like US courts are helping it, destroy IP/©®™ laws for good?any thoughts?

dear english speakers. we have a great problem. what you define as artists is in other languages creative industry jobs. when you talk about AI threatening artists, you put commercial creatives into a pot with artists. there is no threat to artists, there is a threat to most commercially creative jobs, because it was always about copying and not creating. creating has no linear timing, copying creatively is on the other hand quite controllable and so feasible as commercial endeavour under the current system.

the problem with control?the framework needed to control will eventually control you.

what about artificial do people not understand? it is not natural, we are. there is not nature and us, there is nature, full stop. conclusion: if we have come to be so profoundly disconnected from what we actually are, can we at least start imitating it again, trusting the source?some people travel the universe without any machines. we all could one day.

we all want answers. but we’re in a failed state, as most ask the wrong questions.same problem applies to AI.

how about evaluating progress by the things we managed to prevent and not the ones we couldn’t prevent.
